Cancel MAYA

4 min readHow do I...Updated September 24, 2026

In plain words

Click Billing at the top right, then Update card, receipts & cancellation, and cancel in Stripe's portal. MAYA keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops reading, pricing and sending. The prices already in your property system stay as they are. Cancelling deletes nothing: disconnect in your system if you want to, and email us if you want your data removed.

Cancel the subscription

  1. 1

    Open the Billing page

Click Billing in the dashboard header. You need General Manager or Hotel Admin access.

  2. 2

    Open Stripe and cancel

Under Manage, click Update card, receipts & cancellation. In the portal, choose to cancel and give a reason if asked. Stripe returns you to the Billing page.

  3. 3

    Check the page

The headline reads "This subscription is set to cancel" with "MAYA keeps working until November 30, 2026, then stops." and the period row is labelled Access ends.

You can also cancel in writing: email us from a General Manager's or Hotel Admin's address. A property that has paid but is not connected yet has no Billing page: use the Manage billing or cancel link on the setup screen instead.

What happens at the end of the period

MAYA stops reading your bookings, running your rules and sending prices. The status row reads "Cancelled" and the dashboard shows the red banner "MAYA has paused work on this property". You can still sign in and read the calendar, the change log and the team page.

  • Prices in your system stay as they are. MAYA never reverts them. On Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations, if you want your own rates back, set them in your system, or before the period ends delete your rules in MAYA so the reverted prices are sent. On Mews, MAYA never sent prices, so your rates are already your own.
  • Rules, settings and history stay in MAYA, so a restart picks up where you left off. (One exception, for a Cloudbeds Marketplace property that never paid, is under Delete your data.)
  • No refund for the rest of the period, and no pause instead of cancelling.

Disconnect your system, if you want to

Cancelling does not disconnect your property system, and disconnecting does not cancel billing. To stop completely, cancel first, then disconnect.

In Cloudbeds, open Marketplace, then My Apps, and disconnect MAYA there. Cloudbeds tells MAYA, and the PMS tab reads Disconnected. There is no disconnect button inside MAYA.

Delete your data, if you want that

Nothing is deleted when you cancel or disconnect, and there is no delete button in MAYA. A Hotel Admin or General Manager emails info@modern-hospitality-solutions.com with the subject "Close my account". We delete or de-identify the property's data within 90 days, keeping only what the Terms and Privacy Policy list, such as billing records. It is permanent, and a later reconnection starts from scratch.

One exception applies to a property that came from the Cloudbeds Marketplace and never paid (cancelled during the free trial, say). After 180 days with nobody using MAYA for it, its booking history and its connection to Cloudbeds can be removed. Your rules and settings stay, and reconnecting imports the history again. A property that has ever paid is never touched this way.
