Switch your rules off

   Open the Rules tab

   Click the Enabled filter above the list to see only the rules that are on.

   Switch each one Off

   Click the switch in the Status column. The rule turns Off and drops out of the Enabled list. There is no confirmation and no all-at-once switch, so do it rule by rule.

   Check the list

   Click All. Every rule now reads Off. From the next run, about five minutes away, no rule fires.

Switching a rule needs Revenue Manager access or higher.

What stays and what stops

• Prices already in your system stay as they are. Off freezes a rule: the changes it made keep applying, and nothing is reverted or re-sent. If you would rather the prices went back to your own rates, delete the rules instead. Deleting undoes every change a rule made. On a live Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations property, the changed prices go to your system from the next cycle, nearest nights first.
• Prices you type still go out on a live Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations property. A price you set or clear on the Calendar tab is sent as usual, and so is a price that moves because you changed a floor or ceiling.
• Each new night still goes out. Every day one more night enters the 396-night window. On a live Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations property it is sent at your own rate, kept between your floor and ceiling.
• MAYA keeps reading your bookings about every five minutes and keeps the calendar and change log up to date. Runs that change nothing are counted into quiet lines, "Prices checked ... nothing needed to change", under Show All Cycles.
• Your bill continues. Turning rules off changes nothing about the subscription.
• On Mews, nothing is sent. MAYA sends no prices to Mews yet, so switching rules off or going back to simulation changes nothing in Mews. Change rates in Mews itself.

When you are ready, switch the rules back On. Each switch first shows the days the rule will change: Apply price adjustments lets it act on every night it matches now, and Skip price adjustments keeps the prices on the days it shows until the rule stops being true on a day and then becomes true again, with every other night as with Apply. With Apply, a rule that had adjusted a night before you switched it off carries on from where it left off. Once a booking speed or pickup rule, or a stronger one that moves the price the same way, has changed a night, the rule counts only the bookings made since the newest such change still on that night, a switched-off rule's included. A standard rule (a rule with no booking speed or pickup count condition) never moves where that count starts.

Go back to simulation

Going live is one way in the app. To stop sending prices to Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations while keeping everything else running, email us with the subject "Back to simulation" from a General Manager's or Hotel Admin's address. Sending stops on the next cycle. Prices already in your system stay as they are, MAYA keeps reading bookings and running your rules, and the change log keeps filling with what it would have done. On Mews nothing is sent, live or not, so going back to simulation changes nothing in Mews.

Start sending again

To send prices to Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations again, a General Manager or Hotel Admin clicks Go live on the amber strip at the top of the dashboard, which is back while the property simulates, and confirms with Go live.

The review page has no Go live: the strip on the dashboard is the way, or email us with your property name and we switch the property live.

Cancel instead

If you are leaving for good, or for a long stretch, cancel on the Billing page. MAYA keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops reading, pricing and sending. Your rules, settings and history stay, and you can restart later with a new subscription. Read Cancel MAYA.
