Reconnect your property system

5 min readHow do I...Updated October 6, 2026

In plain words

When the connection breaks, an amber panel headed "MAYA has lost its connection to Cloudbeds" appears with a Reconnect Cloudbeds button. A General Manager or Hotel Admin clicks it, signs in at Cloudbeds or ThinkReservations, and lands back on the MAYA dashboard with the panel gone. Nothing about your rules, history or settings changes. Mews connects with keys we enter, so email us.

Reconnect

  1. 1

    Find the panel

Open the PMS tab. When the connection is broken (the Connection card reads Error or Disconnected), an amber panel sits above the cards: "MAYA has lost its connection to Cloudbeds" and "Your prices aren't updating while this is down." The same panel appears as a banner at the top of the dashboard, whichever tab is open. When the card reads Degraded, MAYA is still reading and sending, and you see one calm line instead: "Your Cloudbeds connection needs a refresh soon. Prices are still updating." If it is still there in an hour, click the quiet Reconnect Cloudbeds link at the end of that line. It does no harm.

  2. 2

    Click Reconnect

Click Reconnect Cloudbeds (or Reconnect Think Reservations). You are sent to your system's own sign-in page. Sign in and approve. The link is good for 15 minutes and finishes only for you, signed in to MAYA in the same browser: the person who clicked the button. If you take longer, you see "That sign-in link ran out after 15 minutes. Start again from MAYA." If someone else opens the link, or you have signed out of MAYA in between, you see "This reconnect link was started from a different account. Sign in as the person who started it, or start the reconnect again from MAYA." Nothing has changed either way: press Back to the PMS tab on that page and reconnect again. The same page, headed "Cloudbeds wasn't reconnected", appears if you click Deny at your system or the sign-in doesn't finish.

  3. 3

    You are back

You land on the MAYA dashboard's PMS tab with a short note, "Reconnected.". The panel is gone and the Connection card reads Connected. Bookings are read on the next cycle, and any prices that were held back go out with it.

Reconnecting needs General Manager or Hotel Admin access. On Cloudbeds and ThinkReservations, anyone else sees the panel with "Ask this property's General Manager or Hotel Admin to reconnect it" and no button.

Another way: in Cloudbeds, open Marketplace and click Connect App on MAYA again. For a property that started in the Marketplace, Cloudbeds sends you to MAYA's sign-in page with the line "Your Cloudbeds connection is active again. Sign in to pick up where you left off." For a property you connected from inside MAYA, sign in to MAYA first as its General Manager or Hotel Admin, and you come back to its PMS tab with "Reconnected." Anyone else sees "This property is already in MAYA, so nothing new was added." MAYA never adds the property a second time. This is also the way back if you uninstalled the app by accident. If someone removed MAYA's permission to update rates rather than uninstalling it, restore the permission in Cloudbeds first, then reconnect.

While it is down

Nothing is read, priced or sent. The rates already in your system stay as they are. Your rules, history and settings are untouched. If the Connection card has read Error or Disconnected for about an hour, every General Manager and Hotel Admin gets one email headed "MAYA has lost its connection to Cloudbeds" (or your system), with a button that opens the PMS tab. Read emails MAYA sends. The Change Log tab may show an item headed "Prices not reaching Cloudbeds" with the action "Reconnect Cloudbeds on the PMS tab." It points to the same panel.

The banner shows only while the Connection card reads Error or Disconnected. If the change log says to reconnect and there is no banner, your system is most likely refusing the price write while it still lets MAYA read, so the card reads Connected. Open the PMS tab: a General Manager or Hotel Admin always finds the Reconnect Cloudbeds link there.
